The holiday hiatus is over. Mince pies and assorted niceties have been digested, a fun time was had on new years eve and most importantly I still remember it all!
So to all you readers Happy New Year, I hope it brings good things for all of you! So what have I been up to since the last post? Well in all fairness not much but slowly getting back into the groove.
Nothing much To report on at the moment as I’ve been at the family’s place and working a fair bit over the past week but I did want to draw some attention to Forgeworld’s New preheresy Predator that is severly tempting especially as I just got paid the other day!
Today marks 1 month since I started whelpslayer and as I sit back on reflect on how things have gone I can’t say I’m disappointed. But where do we go from here? Well the night my friends, is still young.
So christmas has come early for the elves of Ios in the form of 3 new house Vyre jacks from the wrath book: The Banshee, Daemon and Sphinx in what is assumedly a new multipart resin/plastic kit.
Here’s some Warmachine to stave off the torrent of Warhammer stuff I’ve been posting rencently (I’m sorry Dan!). Nothing major but I was down maelstrom this week and had a game against Retribution, my first game against them I might add and even though it was nothing major as the guy was just starting out with them I was eager to see what they were like, as you all know, I am in the process of building a Ret army myself. So I thought I’d do a very quick Battle report and then talk about what I though about my first encounter with the elves.
So Bell of Lost Souls held an article writing contest and since I’m getting into the whole blogging malarkey I thought I’d give it a go and as the subject is pretty interesting and relevant to everyone in the hobby I thought I’d post it up here as well!
I remember when I was 9-10 I’d just started playing 2nd edition orks with all their pointy hatted goodness and then for my birthday I got one of these bad boys, I was ecstatic, over the moon to finally have a multi-melta in my army, the gun of kings! Sadly the model has not aged well however and I fear that this old school model shall not make it into my bad moons…but fear not help is at hand!
I had my first real go at scratch building today. My friend was generous enough to source me some proper plasticard (hard to get around here) and I spent today making some buzzsaws for my Deffkoptas.
So The Privateer Press Insider has revealed the concept details of Khadors first double epic: Vladimir Tzepesci! It will also be Khador’s first cavalry Caster!
Played my first games against the new Necron codex yesterday/today. The First one was 1500 using the list in my last post. The second at 1750 using an expanded list as practice for a tournament in February .
